Building Cultural Bridges: Governance Series

Dates & Times:

Mondays—Sep 30, OCT 7, OCT 14

The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association (SAEA) is organizing and sponsoring the Fall Series of SAEA programs and we will begin starting next Monday evening at 7:00 o'clock The Multicultural Centre (421 6 Ave South) with a series on GOVERNANCE.

We shall be looking at the three levels of governance - municipal, provincial, federal  - and will cover each level thoroughly.  To that end, we shall also be looking at the three major political parties that govern us either provincially or federally.

The line-up is as follows:

Monday,  September 16th   Speaker: Rachael Harder, M.P. (UCP)
Monday,  September 23rd   Speaker: His Worship Mayor Chris Spearman
Monday,  September 30th   Speaker: Kimberly Lyall, Business Consultant
Monday,  October 7th      Speaker: Shannon Phillips, MLA, Lethbridge West (NDP)
Monday,  October 14th     Speaker: Amy Bronson, Liberal Party candidate (Federal)

Each of the speaker is highly qualified and articulate in what they have to say.  This series will also give newcomers to our country and to Lethbridge a better understanding of how we are governed at all three levels.
Ms Lyall will give a broad overview of governance in our community, province, and country.
The series are designed for people new to our community, province, and country but the public is also welcome
to attend these sessions.
