September was full of many bright moments, let’s take a look at some of last month’s highlights!


Festival Square Light Installations

Kicking off the month, the official Festival Square lights were installed! With over 30 different color and lighting options, we can’t wait to share more special moments under the lights with the Downtown community,

Afro Fest 2022


On September 17th, the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association hosted Afro Fest 2022! This night invited all to celebrate the diversity of African cultures, old and new! This event featured African performances, dancers, music, DJs, childrens’ entertainment, a fashion show, and so much more! There was additionally an after party!

Oktoberfest YQL 2022

On September 10th and 11th, Oktoberfest YQL returned to its roots as one of Lethbridge’s most anticipated events took place in Festival Square. This cultural celebration featured competitions, live music, dancing, and much more!


LOVED Vintage Market


On September 17th, the LOVED Vintage + Second Hand Market returned to Downtown at Casa! LOVED is a vintage + second hand market full of amazing local vendors, curators, and more!


2022 Firefighters Rooftop Campout 


Hosted at The Place Arcade and Bar, this annual event raised $20,780 for Muscular Dystrophy! This event featured a comedy night, BBQ, musical performance by The Chavelles, raffles, etc.

4 Elements Yoga

September saw 4 Elements host their own gentle yoga classes for all in Festival Square, make sure to check out the Festival Square Calendar for future events!  

Art Days

From September 22-30, one of Lethbridge’s biggest community events, Art Days, took place throughout Downtown! This initiative included numerous live performances, art activities, tours, exhibitions, installations, and more! 


Kurvy Kouture 1 Year Anniversary


In September, Kurvy Kouture reached their 1 year anniversary of being Downtown, congratulations!
