Sweet Ideas (formerly located at 447 Mayor Magrath Dr S) is open for business at their new address 518 – 5th St Street.  And the new store is bigger and better than ever! Featuring a full soda bar where you can order old-fashion pop, floats, malts, soft-serve ice cream and even snow cones. Or if sweet drinks aren’t your thing, coffee is available as well due to popular request by moms, to sip while their children explore the store.

With over 3000+ sq. ft. of candy awesomeness – there is definitely something for everyone at Sweet Ideas. Whether you like old-fashioned candy like Sugar Daddy’s and Tootsie Pops or brand new sweets like maple bacon lollipops. Perhaps you’ve been missing a favourite candy bar from the USA, Britain or Germany? Chances are good that you’ll find it at Sweet Ideas. Even if you avoid sweets all together, it’s worth the trip just to check out all the hilarious gag gifts and practical jokes available. Lots of excellent stocking stuffer ideas.

In addition to the huge selection of bubblegum, lollipops, sour candy, mints, and everything in between, you can also find a ‘World’s Largest’ section of candy - featuring the world’s largest Gummy Bear! If colossal gummy candy doesn’t suite your tastes, perhaps the minty fresh underwear lollipops will. There’s even gluten-free and sugar-free candy, which can be difficult to find in town.

The new location also has more than enough room to accommodate birthday parties! What kid wouldn’t want to have a birthday party inside a super colorful, fully stocked candy store? But if you’d rather celebrate at home you could always order soda pop candy bouquets for your birthday guests. A new spin on Sweet Idea’s already very popular candy bouquets, soda pop bouquets use a can of soda as the base for the bouquet, so not only do your guests get a refreshing soda but they also get their party favours too!

Sweet Ideas is just beginning their 7th year in business and everyone’s ideas and suggestions over the years have really helped the store grow. Owner of Sweet Ideas, Penny Kowalchuk, wanted to create a business where people leave feeling better then when they came in, and she certainly has succeeded. Stop by Sweet Ideas at 518 5th Street South and see what delightful treats (or tricks) you’ll find. Just walking into the store is sure to put a smile on your face.

For birthday party bookings or general inquiries you can contact Sweet Ideas at 403-380-4715.
