We'd like to take a moment and reflect on some of last month's brightest moments!

September concluded many of Downtown’s beloved summer events such as the Downtown Farmers Market, Arts in the Park, the Upside Downtown Concert series, and the Downtown History and Beer Tour. We’d love to extend a HUGE thank you to all the individuals and organizations who were involved in the planning and execution of these amazing summer events!

This September, we welcomed Kurvy Kouture into the Downtown community! Kurvy Kouture is a retail store that believes in all things body positive and are passionate about inclusivity! Give them a visit at 307 5th St S.

Sill and Soil moved to their new location at 315 6 St S! Be sure to check it out and stop by the other businesses on 6th St who are still open among the ongoing construction.

This month additionally saw new public art installed on 4th Avenue. Artists, Hali Heavyshield and Natoyihkii (Cheyenne McGinnis), created an installation that embodied the theme of the 5th annual Reconciliation Week: Voice and Representation.

Art Days took place this month, in a 4-day celebration of the arts in Lethbridge. This event is in conjunction with provincial and national Cultural Days in September. This year’s theme for Art Days was RE:IMAGINE. This event featured amazing new murals, pop-up galleries, and more!

The Lethbridge Library held their Word on the Street Literary Festival on virtual platforms this year! This event reflects the national celebration of literacy and Canadian writing by hosting various readings for all ages!

608 Health held their official grand opening on September 23rd at 608 5 Ave S! This grand opening featured guest speakers, food trucks, and giveaways!

The Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival closed out the month in ecstatic fashion. This event is Canada’s only free, all ages, annual electronic music fest and has been going strong since 2012! Taking place in Galt Gardens, this event is one of the most highly anticipated nights in all of Lethbridge.
