The 16th Annual Bright Lights Festival will kick off the holiday shopping season in downtown Lethbridge on Friday, November 18. The evening’s activities will start shortly after the arrival of Santa at 6:30 p.m. in Galt Gardens Park. The Downtown Business Revitalization Zone (DBRZ) is excited to be partnering with the City of Lethbridge’s ‘Heart of Our City’ on this year’s celebration.
A variety of Classic Christmas movies will be shown from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the pergola area of the park. The traditional hayrides, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, coffee, and popcorn will be available (free-of-charge) courtesy of downtown businesses.
Back again this year will be the London Road Neighbourhood Association (LNRA) who will be on hand to sell hot dogs, hamburgers and to take donations for the Lethbridge Shelter & Resource Centre Soup Kitchen.
Midnight Madness will also be taking place in conjunction with the Bright Lights Festival. Participating businesses will be providing Midnight Madness Special and keeping their doors open late into the evening. We encourage Christmas shoppers to keep their holiday spending dollars within our community, by shopping local this holiday season.
